Invisible Conflicts is a social justice student organization at Loyola University Chicago. We work to accomplish two goals:

1) To unveil global and/or domestic issues ignored by Western media and governments by hosting events on Loyola’s campus which spotlight community members, human rights advocates, professors and other experts.

2) To act and create change by sponsoring the education of 20 war-affected children in northern Uganda through the Dwon Madiki Partnership. We raise a significant amount of money for DMP every year as we are the sole sponsors so we need YOUR dedication, enthusiasm and motivation to help with benefit concerts, artesian sales and the grand tradition of the IC PLUNGE!

Mission Statement:

We recognize that the world is full of invisible conflicts ignored by mainstream media and governments.  We enable the victims of these conflicts to tell their stories, and we establish real and personal relationships between communities of power and privilege and those of poverty and oppression. Through the mutual exchange of values and knowledge, we find practical ways to help one another, and transform communities, both at home and in conflict regions.  Committed to cultural relevance and positivity, we encourage everyday people to take action by giving them simple and concrete ways to make a difference. By taking action ourselves, we lead the way for our peers.
